Installation, activation and answers to the most common questions about Persona: Zero One.

Tell us what happened, your system (Windows 10 or 11), the DAW you use and, for license issues, your license key or order number. We reply within 2 business days.
Installation
- Download the installer: the link is in your order e-mail and in My account → Downloads.
- Unzip the
.zipfile (right-click → Extract All) and run the installer inside it. Choose what to install: the VST3 plugin (for your DAW), the standalone app, or both. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway. This is a normal warning for new software. - Open your DAW and rescan plugins. Persona shows up as Persona Zero One by Darta Digital Audio.
The VST3 goes into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, the standard folder every DAW reads. The standalone app is in the Start menu under Darta Digital Audio.
Activation
- Open Persona. The activation screen shows up on first launch (or click ACTIVATE in the bottom bar).
- Paste your license key, in the format
DRTA-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX, and click ACTIVATE. - Done. Activation needs an internet connection only at that moment. After that, Persona works offline.
Your license key is in the order confirmation e-mail and in My account → Orders.
Moving to a new computer
Each license key activates up to 2 computers. To free a slot, open Persona on the old computer, click the PERSONA / ZERO ONE logo in the bottom corner, then DEACTIVATE THIS COMPUTER. Then activate on the new one.
If the old computer is gone (formatted, broken, stolen), e-mail contato@dartadigitalaudio.com.br with your license key and we will free the slot.
FAQ
The plugin makes no sound.
Persona only plays once it is activated. Open the activation screen (the ACTIVATE button in the bottom bar), paste your license key and the sound comes right in.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC".
That is SmartScreen’s warning for new software. Click More info, then Run anyway. It is the same installer you downloaded from our site.
I get "Already active on 2 computers".
Your key is already in use on the 2 computers allowed. Deactivate it on one of them (see Moving to a new computer) or e-mail us.
I get "Too many attempts".
For security, the server limits activation attempts. Wait an hour and try again, copying and pasting the key with no extra spaces.
I reinstalled Windows or changed hardware and it asks for activation again.
Persona identifies the computer by its hardware, so after a major change it sees a new computer. Activate again; if both slots are taken, e-mail us and we will free the old one.
My DAW doesn't find Persona.
Make sure you installed the VST3 option and that your DAW scans C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, then rescan. Persona is 64-bit only.
Where are my presets?
In Documents\Darta Digital Audio\Persona Zero One\Presets. Back up that folder now and then. It is not deleted when you uninstall Persona.
How do I use my own NAM captures?
On the AMP page, click the DARTA AMP ZERO ONE bar above the amp and choose your .nam file (NAM and NAM A2 formats). To go back to the Darta amp, click the same bar and choose Back to Darta Amp Zero One.
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet. A macOS version is planned. For now, Persona runs on Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit.
How do I uninstall it?
Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Persona Zero One → Uninstall. If you are moving your key to another computer, deactivate first.
